When I cut and paste the new aircraft.cfg information into the existing aircraft.cfg file, I get the following message in a pop-up, 'Access to C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight SimulatorXSimObjectsAirplanesAirbusA321Aircraft.cfg. Your method is OK. From.cfg to.txt by using rename. After opening.txt file and seeing the content or changing the content, you save it. Then change.txt to.cfg by using rename. Otherwise, you keep the original file intact and make a copy of the original file. In the copied file, you do your r&d and throw or retain, as per your wish.
